5 fastest centuries in Cricket History

Ab De Villers(100 on 31 Balls)

Ab Devillers well known for his hard-hitting is also called by the name Mr 360 who can hit massive sixes from any angle. He stays at the top of the list for scoring the fastest century till now. He did that against the west indies in Johannesburg putting 100 Runs on only 31 Balls which simply justifies his title of Mr 360. He placed 149 Runs on the board on that day on only 44 Balls while the whole of the stadium was roaring the name Devillers.

He helped the team to do a total of 439 while losing only two wickets. His innings on that day consisted of 16 sixes which left grounds for others to play fearlessly and ultimately others played well too and put a very good total on board. Apart from these Devillers holds many records some of which are in IPL and Other leagues around the world. Many bowlers fear while bowing against Devillers because his bat Talks.

Corey Anderson(100 on 36 balls)

The second Fastest Century is scored by None other than Corey Anderson of Newzeland against Westindies Team. He played a phenomenal game on that day hitting balls outside the fence. He made that record on only 36 Balls and that helped her team to best west indies by 151 runs.

No one could get him out on that day and he smashed 131 runs which continued 14 sixes 2 less that no one in this record. He set up this record in 2014.

Shahid khan Afridi (100 on 37 Balls)

Shahid Afridi is known for his fast cricket and the day I started watching cricket when I watched him play against any team I had the idea that this guy is going to set up records and is going to leave fast cricket legacy in the Pakistan cricket team he did it that’s why he does not have only this record, he holds many other records too like he holds the record of hitting longest six of 158 meters which no one has broken till now.

He bashed that century against Srilanka in 1996 and he did that in the second one-day international match that proved him a brave batsman from there he made his space in the Pakistan cricket team. he did well on bowling too and Srilanka lost that match by 82 runs.

Mark Boucher (100 in 44 balls)

Mark Boucher played a very important role in South Africa as he was the keeper of the team but on this day against Zimbabwe he made a record of placing 100 scores on board in only 44 balls and made a total of 147 which helped his team to win the match by a big margin of 171 scores because when he played well it definitely uplifts pressure from others and he put the total of 419 which was somehow very difficult for Zimbabwe to chase

Apart from this record, he was a great player who saved his team many times from sinking, and this record is definitely a proud moment for South Africa as it stands among 5 fastest centuries in cricket history

Brian Lara (100 on 45 balls)

Brain Lara is one of the legends from the west indies team and if talk about the 19s team of west indies it was considered one of the most dangerous teams of that time they won many world cups and placed many records. They made it possible only because the team had legends like Brian Lara.

Even though he has many records to talk about but let’s get into his fastest 100 on only 45 balls in 1999 against Bangladesh. All of the players on that day were returning pavilion early when this man took the charge and bashed Bangladesh by a large margin of 109 runs.
